Taiwan's unemployment rate dropped for a second consecutive month in October, figures from the Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics showed on Friday.
The non-adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.77 percent from 3.80 percent in September. The rate was the lowest since June, when it was 3.73 percent.
In the same month last year, the jobless rate was 3.75 percent.
The number of unemployed decreased to 451,000 from 455,000 in the previous month.
Employment increased by 10,000 persons monthly to 11.517 million.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate declined by 0.02 percent to 3.72 percent. Economists had expected the figure to remain unchanged at 3.74 percent. A year ago, the jobless rate was 3.75 percent.
