Austria's trade deficit decreased in September, amid a rise in exports and imports, data from the from Statistics Austria showed on Monday.
The trade deficit fell to EUR 187.22 million in September from EUR 243.395 million in the same month last year.
Exports rose 2.9 percent annually in September and imports increased 2.4 percent.
The trade with EU nations, resulted in a deficit of EUR 341 million in September compared to a deficit of EUR 394.86 million in the same month last year.
During the January to September period, exports and imports rose 2.9 percent and 3.1 percent, respectively. The trade deficit was EUR 4.28 billion.
