Finland's industrial production fell for the second straight month in October, figures from Statistics Finland showed on Tuesday.

Industrial production dropped by a seasonally adjusted 0.5 percent month-on-month in October, following a 0.2 percent fall in September.

Manufacturing output decreased 0.4 percent on a monthly basis in October.

Production increased the most in mining and quarrying by 7.8 percent, while electrical and electronics industry logged the biggest decline of 6.5 percent.

On an annual basis, industrial production rose a working-day adjusted 1.6 percent in October, following a 1.4 percent increase in the preceding month.

Separate data from the statistical office showed that the new orders in manufacturing declined 12.6 percent annually in October, following a 0.5 percent fall in September.

For the January to October period, new orders decreased by 1.1 percent from the same period previous year.
