Monthly GDP estimate, industrial production and foreign trade reports are due from the UK on Monday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, consumer prices and retail sales from the Czech Republic are due. Inflation is forecast to remain unchanged at 3.1 percent in December.

At 4.00 am ET, Italy's Istat releases November retail sales data. Sales had decreased 0.2 percent on month in October.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to publish UK monthly GDP estimate, industrial and construction output and external trade figures.

UK GDP is forecast to remain flat on month in November, the same as in October. Economists forecast industrial output to remain unchanged on a monthly basis and manufacturing output to drop 0.1 percent.

The UK visible trade deficit is seen narrowing to GBP 11.7 billion in November from GBP 14.4 billion in October.
