Following the release of U.K. consumer and producer prices for December at 4.30 am ET Wednesday, the pound slipped further against its major rivals.
The pound was trading at 1.2996 against the greenback, 142.76 against the yen, 1.2550 against the franc and 0.8567 against the euro around 4:33 am ET.
