The U.S. retail sales and import and export prices for January are due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback held steady against the euro, it rose against the rest of major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 1.0838 against the euro, 109.86 against the yen, 0.9814 against the franc and 1.3009 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
