The personal income and spending data for January is due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback held steady against the yen and the franc, it rose against the euro and the pound.
The greenback was worth 1.0972 against the euro, 108.66 against the yen, 0.9667 against the franc and 1.2868 against the pound at 8:25 am ET.
