At 3.00 am ET Friday, Destatis is scheduled to publish Germany's final consumer prices for February. Consumer price inflation is expected to remain unchanged at 1.7 percent.
Ahead of the data, the euro held steady against its major rivals. The euro was worth 1.1203 against the greenback, 118.21 against the yen, 1.0561 against the franc and 0.8910 against the pound as of 2:55 am ET.
