At 3.00 am ET Friday, Destatis is slated to issue Germany's producer price figures for February.
Ahead of the data, the euro traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the euro fell against the pound, it rose against the franc and the greenback. Against the yen, it held steady.
The euro was worth 118.17 against the yen, 1.0543 against the franc, 0.9192 against the pound and 1.0763 against the greenback at 2:55 am ET.
