The manufacturing sector in Taiwan moved into expansion in March, the latest survey from IHS Markit revealed on Wednesday with a manufacturing PMI score of 50.4.
That's up from 49.9 in February, and it moves above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, output fell sharply amid an extended drop in new orders.
Supply chains were under their greatest pressure since 2005, while the business outlook remained decidedly downbeat.
