The Reserve Bank of Australia kept its benchmark lending rate at 0.25 percent, as expected. Following the announcement, the aussie traded mixed against its major rivals. While the currency changed little against the kiwi, it rose slightly against the rest of major rivals.
The aussie was trading at 66.59 against the yen, 1.7675 against the euro, 0.6124 against the greenback and 1.0261 against the kiwi around 12:34 am ET.
