Singapore's non-oil domestic exports increased unexpectedly in March, data from Enterprise Singapore showed on Friday.
Non-oil domestic exports increased 17.6 percent year-on-year in March, following a 3.1 percent rise in February. Economists had expected an 8.9 percent decline.
Electronic NODX grew by 5.8 percent, and non-electronic NODX gained 20.5 percent.
On a monthly basis, NODX rose 12.8 percent in March, after a 4.7 percent decline in the previous month. Economists had expected a fall of 3.8 percent.
NODX to the majority of the top markets increased in March, except Malaysia, Indonesia and China. The largest contributors to the rise were Thailand, the US and Japan.
