The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended April 18 are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the currency fell against the yen, it held steady against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.2351 against the pound, 107.42 against the yen, 0.9746 against the franc and 1.0784 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
