At 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the Bank of England is set to issue mortgage approvals data. Economists forecast approvals to fall to 23,700 in April from 56,160 in March.
Ahead of the data, the pound held steady against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 0.8901 against the euro, 1.2009 against the franc, 1.2533 against the greenback and 134.99 against the yen at 4:25 am ET.
