2020.07.0603:30:00UTC+00European Economics Preview: Germany Factory Orders Data Due

Factory orders from Germany and retail sales from euro area are due on Monday, headlining a busy day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is slated to issue Germany's factory orders data. Orders are forecast to climb 15 percent on month in May, in contrast to a 25.8 percent decline posted in April.

At 3.00 am ET, industrial production from Spain is due. Industrial output is expected to decrease 18.5 percent on year, much slower than the 33.6 percent decline seen in April.

In the meantime, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office is set to issue retail sales data for May.

Half an hour later, IHS Markit is slated to issue Germany's construction Purchasing Managers' survey data for June.

At 4.30 am ET, UK IHS Markit/CIPS construction PMI data for June is due. Economists forecast the index to rise sharply to 47.0 in June from 28.9 in May.

In the meantime, Eurozone Sentix investor confidence survey data for July is due. The sentiment index is expected to improve to -10.9 from -24.8 percent in June.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat is scheduled to issue euro area retail sales data for May. Sales are forecast to rise 15 percent on a monthly basis, reversing an 11.7 percent drop in April.
