At 2.00 am ET Thursday, Destatis has issued Germany's final consumer prices for July. Following the data, the euro appreciated against its major counterparts.
The euro was trading at 1.1823 against the greenback, 126.09 against the yen, 1.0761 against the franc and 0.9040 against the pound around 2:03 am ET.
