The U.S. retail sales for September are due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While it rose against the pound and the yen, it dropped against the euro and the franc.
The greenback was worth 1.1743 against the euro, 105.26 against the yen, 0.9129 against the franc and 1.2926 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
