At 2.00 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK retail sales data for September. The pound slipped further against its major rivals after the data.
The pound was trading at 1.3052 against the greenback, 136.71 against the yen, 1.1847 against the franc and 0.9037 against the euro around 2:03 am ET.
