At 5.00 am ET Thursday, Eurostat is set to issue euro area industrial production for September. Economists forecast output to grow at a steady pace of 0.7 percent.
Ahead of the data, the euro climbed against its major rivals.
The euro was worth 124.36 against the yen, 1.0791 against the franc, 1.1809 against the greenback and 0.8958 against the pound as of 4:55 am ET.
