The Reserve Bank of Australia kept its benchmark lending rate at 0.10 percent and extended the $100 billion bond purchase program. Following the announcement, the aussie retreated against its major rivals.
The aussie was trading at 80.09 against the yen, 1.5819 against the euro, 0.7633 against the greenback and 1.0643 against the kiwi around 10:41 pm ET.
