Following the release of U.S. producer prices for July and weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 7 at 8:30 am ET Thursday, the greenback rose against its major counterparts.
The greenback was trading at 110.47 against the yen, 1.1734 against the euro, 1.3847 against the pound and 0.9225 against the franc around 8:33 am ET.
