At 2 am ET Friday, German import price index for July is due. Ahead of the data, the euro showed mixed trading against its major rivals. While the euro rose against the pound and the greenback, it fell against the franc. Against the yen, it was steady.
The euro was worth 129.37 against the yen, 1.0781 against the franc, 0.8586 against the pound and 1.1762 against the greenback as of 1:55 am ET.
