U.S. existing home sales for August will be published at 10:00 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While it held steady against the franc and the euro, it rose against the pound and the franc.
The greenback was worth 109.59 against the yen, 1.1731 against the euro, 1.3633 against the pound and 0.9228 against the franc as of 9:55 am ET.
