Against the South African rand, the US dollar weakened during New York trading on Tuesday. The greenback-rand pair declined to 9.5735 by about 9:10 am ET from yesterday's New York session close of 9.7212. Currently, the pair is worth 9.6830. On the downside, 9.5385 is seen as the next target level for the US currency.
