Unilever Indonesia's net profit booms 16% in 2012 to 4.84 trillion rupiah ($498 million) from 4.16 trillion rupiah a year earlier on gaining sales.
The Indonesian subsidiary of the Anglo-Dutch food maker, hygiene and personal care products announced in a monetary report published in local newspapers that its net sales increased to 27.30 trillion rupiah from 23.47 trillion rupiah from last year.
Boosting sales kicked its gross profit up to 13.89 trillion rupiah in 2012 from 12.01 trillion rupiah in 2011, it added.
The company was silent regarding its performance
As with many other makers of consumer goods, Unilever is a gainer of growing disposable incomes in Indonesia, where the economy has grown by more than 6% yearly in the past three years.
Analysts forecasts a hike in minimum wage that went into effect in January to help progress Unilever's sales.
