In August 2025, Indonesia experienced a slight increase in annual loan growth, rising to 7.56% from July's 7.03%, the latter being the slowest rate since March 2022. This subtle rise reflects ongoing prudence by banks in issuing credit alongside consistently high interest rates on loans. Bank Indonesia upholds its projection that lending growth will remain within the 8% to 11% range throughout 2025.
