2009.01.0704:56:00UTC+00Euro Declines Against Pound, Higher Against Other Majors Ahead of Euro-Zone PPI Report

The euro-zone producer price index report for November has been scheduled for release at 5:00 am ET Wednesday. The PPI is forecast to fall 1% on a monthly basis, while the annual growth is expected to ease to 4.4% from 6.3%. Ahead of the release, the euro declined against the pound, but moved higher against the rest of its major counterparts. At about 4:55 am ET, the euro was quoted at 1.3586 against the dollar, 0.9157 versus the pound, 126.69 against the yen and 1.4988 versus the franc.
