The Japanese yen has regained its earlier footing Thursday following the Bank of Japan kept its policy target intact.
Against the US dollar, the yen climbed 0.02% at ¥104.82.
The central bank unanimously decided not to change their policy target, maintaining its optimistic economic outlook amid recent mild retail sales.
BOJ would conduct money market operations in order to increase the monetary base at an annual pace of around ¥60 trillion to ¥70 trillion.
