Stocks in Hong Kong backslides in the opening minutes of trading Thursday action, with banking shares giving up ground. The Hang Seng Index submerged 86 points, or 0.4%, to 21,483.30 as shares of HSBC Holdings Plc relinquished 1.1% and Bank of China Ltd. off track 0.3%. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index drifted 0.3% to 10,266.22. On the upside, shares of China Resources Land Ltd. and China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. following data that new home prices in Beijing and Shanghai bolster in March. The Shanghai Composite surrenders 0.4% to 2,183.68.
