The US dollar escalated versus other major counterparts before the European session Thursday.
For the first time since September 2010, the dollar rose to 1.0175 versus the Swiss franc, previously 1.5109.
The currency traded at €1.1838 from €1.1803, and £1.5109 from £1.5061.
Against the Japanese yen, the greenback ascended to a three-day high of ¥119.95 from ¥119.24.
