The US dollar advanced to a fresh multi-year high of 23.2387 by about 8:15 am ET against its Polish counterpart on Thursday. Thereafter, the greenback ticked down and touched a low of 3.1593 versus the zloty by about 9:15 am ET but the pair reversed its direction later and as of now worth 3.2178. The dollar-zloty pair closed Wednesday's New York session at 3.1658.

Poland's central bank revealed in a report today that the current account deficit stood at PLN 6.507 billion in November, compared with a PLN 7.213 billion deficit recorded in the previous month. At the same time, the capital account surplus stood at PLN 267 million, down from PLN 995 million in the previous month.
