The US dollar rose to a one-week high versus the Japanese yen Tuesday following China growth did not turn bad as many expected.
The Chinese economic growth was stable at 7.3% in the 4th quarter. But growth remained hovering around its lowest levels since the global financial crisis.
Against the yen, the greenback gained about 0.6% to ¥118.20 following it reached a one-week peak of ¥118.32. Against the euro, the currency was at $1.1582.
U.S. markets were shut to honor Martin Luther King Jr.
