The Canadian dollar edged down against its Japanese and US counterparts on Friday's early deals. At about 1:10 am ET, the loonie dropped to 76.87 against the yen and 1.1862 against the US dollar, down from Thursday's closing values of 77.32 and 1.1800, respectively. On the downside, the loonie may likely target the 74.33 level against the Japanese unit and 1.176 against the dollar.
