IMF Japan mission chief Luc Everaert in a seminar in Tokyo said the Bank of Japan should continue clearing its monetary policy guidance and boost communication following its adoption of a new policy framework.
Everaert on Monday said the IMF welcomed the central bank's new framework to target interest rates on government bonds instead of base money.
He said the BOJ must pay attention to stability in the Japanese government bond market
