Mexico's communications and transport ministry on Thursday said two groups have presented bids for Mexico's 700MHz wholesale mobile network.
The network was part of a sweeping telecoms reform aimed at limiting the dominance of America Movil, which is owned by Carlos Slim.
One of the bidders included a consortium called Altan, which consisted of Mexican firms Megacable and Axtel, the ministry said. It added that the second group was made up of Rivada Networks and Spectrum Frontier.
