Hong Kong shares pulled back on Wednesday trading action, after a string of advances and an overnight decline for the Standard & Poor's 500 Index in U.S. trading, with caution setting in ahead of the release of data on Chinese manufacturing conditions. The Hang Seng Index gave up 0.3% after bolstering in 11 of the past 14 sessions, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index relinquished 0.2%. Shares of China Construction Bank Corp. missed 0.9% and energy producer Cnooc Ltd. traded 1% lower. China's Shanghai Composite drifted 0.4% ahead of HSBC's preliminary data on the country's manufacturing conditions in July.
