In the 4 hour chart Gold is in a bearish trend according to the Ichimoku cloud indicator. Gold price remains well below the 4hour Kumo (cloud) and below both the tenkan-sen (red line indicator) and the kijun-sen (yellow line indicator). Gold price is making lower lows and lower highs in the 4 hour chart. The Chikou span (black line indicator) is below the candlestick pattern (bearish). The tenkan-sen is below the kijun-sen and both are negatively sloped. Resistance by the tenkan-sen is at $1,956 and by the kijun-sen at $1,973. The cloud resistance is at $1,980-85. As long as gold trades below the cloud, price will remain vulnerable to the downside.
