Early in the European session, Ethereum (ETH/USD) is trading around 2,228.35, below the 21 SMA, and inside a downtrend channel forming since January 9. If Ether breaks and consolidates above 2,244 in the next few hours, we could expect it to reach 7/8 Murray at 2,350 and even reach the 200 EMA located at 2,358.

If the bullish force prevails and if Ether breaks the downtrend channel and consolidates above 2,360, we could expect a recovery and the token could reach the psychological level of 2,500 and could even rebound to the level of 2,656.

Ether investors are submitting applications for it to be accepted as a spot ETF. There is a possibility that history will repeat itself, just as the case of Bitcoin occurred. So, we anticipate that ETH will have a strong upward movement in the coming days only if it breaks above 2,360.

In case Ethereum's price falls below the 21 SMA, we could expect a resumption of the bearish cycle and it could reach 6/8 Murray at 2,187 and even reach the bottom of the downtrend channel around 2,095. The next bearish target is seen at the psychological level of $2,000.
